Initial Consultation

We will arrange an initial site visit to discuss requirements, inspect and advise on site. Provide you with a written site report which includes a brief, proposal of design work and your requirements. An estimate for design work costs is drawn up to meet your needs. If the full service of design and build is contracted then initial fee is reimbursed.

Design Concept

Site and photo survey. Site analysis, indication of aspect, exposure, soil type and significant features. Design ideas explored and illustrated by images, plans and or sketches. Concept plan, a working scaled drawing in progress illustrating to your ideas and spatial layout. Planning permission submission drawings if required.

Final Plan

Finalise scaled design for your approval. Indicates tree & shrubs, materials and spatial arrangement. Elevations and cross sections.

Planting Plan

Recommended site specific planting. Plan schedule, which includes type, size and numbers at recommended spacing. Planting schemes explored illustrated by plans and or sketches.

Construction details

Specifications of details such as ponds, pergolas etc. Material requirements and quantities.
Specifications for layout of plan on site. Measurements & quantities.

Project management

Preparation of Contract Documents/ Tenders. Prepare tender documents and building specifications, material requirements and quantities. Specifications of all aspects of the plan or phased elements. Contract administration. Liaise with preferred contractors. Advise client and appraise tenders submitted. Identify time schedule. Site Supervision & Inspections. Inspections of work, ensuring recognised techniques are being employed, competitive prices are being charged and that there are no pitfalls or omissions. Snagging, final checks on the job to ensure details specified have been adhered to. Payments stages to contractors.

Aftercare

Upon request we can provide a comprehensive service that encompasses a minimum of two consultancy visits a year as a follow-up that will identify areas that need maintenance and give advice on the continuing health and well-being of your garden.
